I am with mommyofhouston4 on this. You people all need to get a life. I would much rather my child somehow signal to me that she needs to go to the restroom then stand there in the middle of the store and pee her pants. Get over it! If you dont want your child grabbing their crotch, teach them not to for God's sake. Better yet, since you are already blaming your television for your child's behavior, why dont you just get rid of your television. What show or commercial is going to be your excuse next time your child acts the way you dont want them to?

Wow! You people are WAY to sensitive! The only way I found this forum was to see if I could download the song for my son! If you are worried about your children grabbing their crotches...TEACH THEM NOT TO! Your children are always going to see things on TV and try and mimic them. It's your job to teach them how YOU want them to act. The sing is not intended to tech children to grab themselves. And frankly, it is a natural reaction for a child to grab themselves when they have to go. That's been going on WAY longer than this Potty Dance. It makes me laugh that people get so worked up over things like this. There are more important issues in this world. I think the little potty dance is cute and will be helpful in getting my son excited about potty training! If he starts to grab himself, I will simply tell him not to. Easy as that!

Potty Dance Disgust

Mar 16, 2009 1:32 PM
I have had enough of my kids grabbing themselves because they are imitating this commercial. It is offensive! My kids were perfectly fine just "telling" me they had to go to the potty. Looks like I will go back to using Pampers or other brands. I refuse to support Huggies anymore. Too many other choices out there. Huggies, you are getting a lot of attention, but you are also offending lots of parents and promoting poor behavior.

I am with all of you disgusted mothers. I think this new video advertisement is in such bad taste, you can bet that I would never buy this product again. It is bad enough that teenage boys go around "holding" themselves, but now we are teaching our young little children that this is acceptable behavior. Whoever thought of this idea should be fired and all the idiots who agreed with it should also be fired. We need to keep our children innocent for as long as possible. Shame on Huggies for teaching our children such distasteful behavior. I hope that other people boycott this product like I have.

that video was the most disgusting display i ever had the displeasure of watching ..to use babies in such a manner is perverted .shame on YOU i will not be purchasing your product unless i see an acknowledgment that it wil be removed from the airways immediately and some kind of apology /recognition that this advertisement was in very bad taste. i can only hope more people will boycott those diapers until then

Can't believe adults produced this on TV....wondering what they were thinking.....if this is the best they can come up with to advertise....... well, please hire me....I'm sure I can produce a commercial video with a lot more class....as my 5 year old classed it...."NASTY" and I thought nothing would top the one with the little one showering the room as daddy removed his diaper.....2 gross videos in a row.....sure would be upset if my little ones did this dance in public......

"the potty dance"

I was just watching tv and saw an advertisement for pull-ups... and i myself thought that the "potty dance" was rather offensive and don't think it's appropriate for children. I don't want my daughter running around grabbing herself every time she has to use the bathroom
