younger than 5?!?? well, I guess it's a question of what you want: keep 'em in diapers because it's easier for us as parents, or to let them learn the importance of holding it in for 2 more minutes, and then to learn what happens if they don't. We don't need to shelter them from that lesson. Put a small disposable changing pad under their butts to protect the seat and have a change of clothes.

Five years old and still wearing diapers. That's kindergarten age!

First not sure how old they are, but if younger than 5, I would use diapers during road trips or even bring a potty in the van (I suppose you don't drive a car with 4 kids its impossible) and make sure they go potty at every stop (gas stop, rest area) at least once per hour, but don't expect them to be dry, its really hard for them.

Shopping & Road trip question..

This question may have been asked, but I need some help.
I'm in the middle of training all for of my boys and I need some tips for while we're out and about. We're doing well at home, but heading out the door to go shopping is different.
I'm taking a change of clothes and pullups for each. At "every" store, we stop to use the rest room. I think it's a bit too much. How often do you think we need to use the potty?
Same goes for while we're on the road. How often do we need to stop? And what do you think of those public restrooms? I've seen some where I just want to turn back around and run. Should I carry my own potty chair in the car or bring the seat ring into the rest room? Thanks!
