I am in the same boat. I have 2.5 year old boy/girl twins. We started training about 2 weeks ago. My daughter will go everytime you take her, but does not tell us if she needs to go. My son sits on the potty 10 times a day but has yet to do anything. Any ideas?

My twins will be 5 in October. They are girls so I think it was a little easier for me. However, I can tell you a couple things that helped me out. I always took them to the potty together. One would use the little potty and one would use the big potty. I'd switch off the next time (they remembered whose turn it was). When one of them used the potty she would get a few M&M's. With twins, you can let the natural rivalry help you. If one went potty and the other didn't, it was hard on the one that didn't when the one that DID got her M&M's. Eventually, they would both go and both get their M&M's. It took about 2 weeks and we were done with diapers. Also, I used pull-ups at night too. That way they woke up feeling like big kids, not babies.

I am a mother of two year old twins and i started potty training them when they were 1 years old but have gotten lazy. I am now back to potty training them. Even though they do not show most of the signs that they are ready i think they are. But its really hard with twins. I would sit one down on the potty and wait for him to use the potty when the other one would use it in his pull up. I really wish i had two potties. And wish i had the support i had before when i started.

I just got onto this site to ask the exact same question. While I don't think my kids are ready to start training yet, they are both very interested in the toilet. I wish I had two toilets side by side so they could both sit there at once -- should I start with one kid at a time? or tackle both the boy and the girl concurrently?

Hi,

I am a mother of 21 month old twins (Boy,Girl). Should i start training them both together?? would it be wise to have two potty seats instead of one??

Please let me know how to approach this situation.
