She is smart enough to know how to get the attention so try stearing it in a different direction. Don't punish her for going in her pull up. Just ignore it and have her put a new one on. Also remind her that she is a big girl (not a baby), and you need her help. That means even helping by peeing on the potty. Ask her to be a big girl and go pee in the potty then she can help get a diaper and wipes to help change the babies diaper. Good luck

Daughter has retracted since son being born! what to do?

My daughter will be 3 in August, and prior to my son being born in November 08, she was on the right track with learning how to go to the bathroom on her own. She would tell me when she had to go or just sit on the toilet. Now, since he has arrived, i noticed she refuses to go. We've tried everything, applauding her when she does. disciplining her when she uses the restroom in her pull-up, as well as leaving her with no bottoms on and also informing her that her cousins and friends of the same age use the restroom on the toilet, all with no avail. What should i do next? any mothers experienced this problem? She is extremely smart and knows how to do and say EVERYTHING, and its really getting embarrasing, it makes it seem that im not doing my job right...what to do?!!
