my boy started like that and after starting to see other kids in daycare or school he will realized that boys stand up do not worry as long as he is going potty that is a plus.

hello to all
i need a little help. my son is 3 years old and is going potty okay to the bathroom however he is not advancing at night even though i use to wake him up every 3 hours to go to the bathroom and he will go asleep. a teacher at the daycare told me that if i was doing that he will not rest properly so i started a month ago to put pull ups at night again but now he over sleep and has accidents with the pull up and at nap time in daycare more often than before. what should i do, eliminate the pull ups completly and suspend the drinking after 830pm, make him go tothe bathroom before going to sleep and start getting up every 3 hours again? will that help with him getting up at nap time in daycare. he does not have accidents when he is awake.

I have a 2 year old I have not yet attempted this w/ yet but i remember kelly ripa saying htye used fruit loops/ cheerios to get her son to aim its been years and years ago thought so i would think it would still work.

I think starting with sitting is best. The cups don't work, but if you help him, he can hold his pp down same as he could learn to hold it steady later. My boys have been training for 4 mo, and are pretty good at down, once they realize its not going that way. They like to stand up sometimes too, with a tall enough ladder. But they prefer the sit.

my son would watch dad and we also have this potty that the bottom turns into a step so he would use this and would lean towards the toilet and now he is 6 and does well

I haven't hit that milestone yet as my son is still sitting down, but my mom always told me to throw cheerios into the toilet and have him try to aim and hit them. Also, you might look for paper targets that have designs on them. they are flush-able and I have heard they work very well. Best of luck to you!

Training a Boy

Hi to all,

I need a little advise. I am trying to train my son who is almost 3yrs old. He is showing interest with the potty, he likes to sit on it and flush the toilet. But I don't know how to teach him to aim his pee pee into the bowl.... He sit's on a training seat that has a little cup but it does not seem like that is going to stop it from hitting the wall. Any advise this is my first boy and I need some experienced mom's that have trained there boys...
