My son did the same thing. I tried just putting underwear on him and he had so many accidents it was a hassle for me to clean up and he would cry. I stopped trying and just let him wear pull ups for three months and then we tried again. He took to it immediately. He makes it to the potty in time and has had only a few accidents.

No, you better make him wear only a pair of underwear and nothing over it, this way he will feel and see what happen's when he wet, but at 2 I don't think he's ready for the potty training thing, I would wait 2-3 months and try again, summer is comming and will greatly help (let him play naked in your backyard is a good way for the potty training to start. But outside of the house, I'll recommend using regular Pull-Ups, not the wetness liner that can cause diaper rash.

My son is 2 years old and he keeps telling me "I no pee in my diaper" but yet he still does, even when I put him on his potty he refuses to go and then he says "I'm done" and gets up. A friend of mine told me that I should put a pair of his underwear on before I put his pull up on, that way he can feel the wetness. I know they have the wetness liner pullups but my friend said this is a cheaper way. Anyway my concern is that he will get used to peein in his is underwear and continue doin it. Is that a good way to teach him??
