Thanks for writing!

There's usually no need to wipe after peeing (he'll eventually learn to sit or stand there until the dripping stops for good) but I found it helpful when my son was first training to dab himself with one or two squares of toilet paper so as not to dribble onto his superhero underwear.

Good luck!

Potty training my son

Apr 27, 2009 8:36 AM
Hi, we are currently training my 2 year old son. I have a question on wiping for boys. My son sits on a potty seat on the big toilet. He is learning to go, and is doing quite well, he also gets potty trianing in day care. Should i give him toilet paper to wipe after he goes pee? I have been, but wanted to get some advise on the subject. I have read that some boys sit, some stand, but as far as wiping (pee) should i be teaching him something else besides using tp at this point? I don't want to confuse him as he is just starting out.

Thanks for any ideas you have,
