I have the same problem..I have tried everything singing, dancing a jig, even what I call "tough love"- when I see him start to hide, I would set him on the potty and tell him he could not get up until he was finished. Nothing works, but last week my husband thought maybe we should put something in the bathroom with him that he likes, so we put his portable DVD player and turned on Mickey Mouse...he pooped within 3-5 minutes. It has worked a few times, but not all the time- just a suggestion.

Peeing but not pooping in the potty

My 2 1/2 year old will pee in the potty but has never pooped in there.To poop he must always run and hide and does not want anyone near him when he is doing this. I tell him all the time that it is ok to go poo poo in the potty but he has only ever peed in there. Not sure how to go about helping him to feel comfortable pooping in the potty also. Also, he hates having his diaper changed when he has pooped?? Any help or advice would be very much appreciated.
