First, I'd check with the pediatrician to make sure she doesn't have any physical issues, such as encopresis (poop retention) or a urinary tract infection.

If she's physically fine, I'd enlist the doctor's help to encourage your daughter to potty train. Have him or her tell your daughter that she's a big girl now, and so potty training is up to her. The doctor should ask her what kind of reward she'd like for successful potty visits and when she should go on the potty. If you turn it back around to your daughter and ease up on the pressure, she just might come around.

help please

My daughter is almost 3 1/2 and has given up on training...i have tried all the suggestions, and she is not budging, she is very hard headed. i really want to get this process moving, as she will be 4 in march. please any suggestions?
