That must be very frustrating, and yet setbacks are pretty common.

First, understand that nighttime training often takes longer, so it's best to concentrate on daytime training for now.

Next, has there been a major change at your house? A new baby, a move, divorce? These can cause kids to regress. If this is the case, you might want to put potty training on hold until things level out, or at least through the crazy-busy holiday season. Then you can start over next month.

Sometimes, though, kids just regress for no apparent reason. Was she fully trained before she regressed? Are you scolding or pressuring her? Kids respond best to positive cues -- and fun, fun, fun. Keep it light and praise her often, but don't scold her for accidents. Do have her help you clean them up, though, and show her that the pee and poop go in the potty.

Hang in there. It gets better!

accident trouble

My daughter is almost 26 months old and was doing great for a month no accidents. Now she has at least 4 accidents a day, plus waking up in the morning wet. What can be the cause of these to frequent accidents, and how can we stop them. I have tried everything and I feel like I'm losing my mind. Please help.
