I'm concerned that she says she doesn't want to poop in the potty. Have you taken her to the pediatrician to talk about this? Some kids withhold poop until they get constipated. Then when they try to poop on the potty, they feel pain and get frightened.

The first thing I'd do is add fluids and fiber to her diet and take her to her doctor to rule out any poop retention or constipation. If that proves not to be the issue, I'd wait a few weeks and then start potty training again, using rewards.

My granddaugher is very inconsistent when it comes to the potty, some days she sits on it for a long time, gets off & immediately pees on the floor !! Then she tells you she did it.Other days she cries & doesn't try the potty at all. says she is scared, will not try to poop in it @ all. Should we leave her alone & try in a few weeks ?months ???
