It sounds like she is starting to get it. It's common when you first start to train to have a child go on the floor after sitting on the potty. It's just a matter for her to learn how to perfect the control of the muscles involved in going potty. Keep doing what you're doing, I'm sure she will get it :) Good luck X

Maybe she's not ready. Although my daughter still likes to play with it sometimes and we've been activly training for about a month now. Tell her "No, this is the way we potty." Or sing songs or read a book while she's sitting on it. Remember to praise her for pottying and always say "Good try" for when she doesn't go.

First time mommy

My 21 month old little girl is having a problem with her potty. She knows what it is and that she should pee in it, and has done it twice before. But now all she wants to do is play with it. And when she does go pee (on the floor) she yells "Pee Pee Potty" and runs over and points at her potty. But when i do catch her about to go and she sits on the potty she wont go till she gets up and walks away then just lets it flow. We don't have a down stairs bathroom so i keep her potty in the pantry so we don't have to run up the stairs and she has a accident on mommy instead of the floor.. Could that be causing a problem? Im just so stuck.
