It depends on who is doing the training. If mom is doing the training, then, its appropriate to start by sitting the boys on the potty and teaching him to aim down. as he gets really good at going poop and pee. Then, its a good time to show him the standing technique by teaching him to aim for a cheerio in the toilet or by making bubbles by putting alittle bit of soap or bubble maker soap into the potty before he goes, he will think its great fun and you wont be able to stop him from going in the potty standin up, lol. If dad is doing the training, well daddies have a technique all of there own, lol, that works great, too. the follow me method! Unfortunately for us, mommies we don't have the devices to do this with so we have to follow the above mentioned menthod. Good Luck. Sharlyn
We have tried a potty chair and he would not sit on it, Im guessing he saw his dad sitting & using the big potty. So he would not sit on his potty chair so we got rid of it and got him a add on potty chair for the big potty and he seems to like it. So would you think to keep on using the potty chair like that or get a step and try to teach him to stand?
My 26mo old is ready to potty train (I think). But do we teach him to sit or stand to pee?Everyone seems to have an opinion and I am gonna go with the majority on this one.
