My son will be 3 in January and seems similiar to yours. When he was in pull-ups he almost always peed in them. One day he said he wanted to wear underwear. I put him in them. He only had about 2 accidents in the first week, but I do remind him to go every couple of hours, when we go out, before and after meals etc. He still hasn't grasped tell me, except before bed. But I think he's just trying to put off bedtime. I suggest drop the pull ups during the day. Good luck.

My (almost 3 y.o.) son is doing great potty training. He will pee whenever I put him on potty. He even frequently goes to potty himself. However, when he initiates going to the potty he has already peed in pull up. How can I get him to recognize the urge to pee b/f he goes in pull up? Is it time to put him in big boy underwear? For the most part he keeps a dry pull up all day and night. If I didn't remind him to go potty he would most certainly only go once he has already peed in pull up.
